"Desert Prayer" Raku Wall Piece

This stunning wall piece, comprised of 5 individual pieces strategically placed together, measures 6 1/2' L X 5 1/2' W. It is a fabulous and exquisite solution for a large wall of home, office, or other business setting. It quite simply commands attention when viewed and makes a very impressive statement.
Each of the five pieces is wired from the back to hang like a painting and they have "spacers" which make it extend away from the wall about 3/4-1". It hangs evenly and beautifully as a piece of "wall sculpture".
It is a mixed media piece, with the four "cross" pieces having been raku fired: each having their own unique glossy iridescent coloration. The central dome has deep impressions (see pic below) for visual texture and was completed post firing for special effect. The fringe work contains a wide variety of mixed fibers and has raku fired additions among the fringe (see pics below). All of the pieces have embellishments for additional detail and visual interest.

Close Up - Central Dome - "Desert Prayer"
This dome has deep impressions and is embellished with pearlized shell beads. It has beautiful coloration which ties it together with the raku fired "cross" pieces. See pic below for closer view of dome.
Close Up of Left Fringe
This pic shows the colors and textures of the fringe work as well as the additional raku pieces among the fringe. The basic design in the smaller raku pieces has been carved by the artist and iridescent square shell beads have been added post firing. In addition, the shape of the smaller raku piece reflects the same shape seen in each of the four larger "cross" pieces.
